@Service Magazine Summer 2017 | 29 Director of Service (DoS) Advisory Council What does the DoS Advisory Council do? Approximately two years ago, USCAN Service created a Director of Service (DoS) Advisory Council. The Council promotes open and honest communication between the field and senior leadership. The team works to drive improvements and communicate successes that promote best practice sharing among field teams. Each year, the Council identifies priorities to focus on to initiate change within USCAN Service. This year they’re working on 24 initiatives that align with our USCAN Service Priorities. For example, the team is focused on Multi-Vendor Optimization to help drive change to that business. Their goal is to improve processes and training, and help drive growth. They’re also working to improve the accuracy of billing to decrease invoice errors, drive credits, and validate billing before it goes to the customer so invoicing reflects the customer’s contractual discounts. Who serves on the Council? Members include US & Canada Imaging, Biomed, Life Care Solutions Directors of Service employees from all zones. Members are nominated each year by their Zone General Manager based on: • A proven performance to make a difference • They’re viewed as an inclusive and credible leader among peers • They demonstrate the ability to share concerns and successes in a constructive way “The business looks to us to identify tactical-level constraints on our field teams and pain points for our customers. We then engage business leaders within GE Healthcare to facilitate change and drive improvements,” said Mike Gregoritsch , Director of Service, Gateway Region.
