34 | @Service Magazine Summer 2017 The Services Technical Leadership Program (STLP) is intended for field employees who have a bachelor’s degree, strong track record, and desire to grow their skills and career. This one-year program offers development opportunities including monthly training sessions and a team project that, ultimately, gets implemented into the business. “The opportunity to solve some of our current business issues not only boosted my performance and sharpened my skills as a leader, but prepared me professionally for high-impact roles,” said Travis Turner , Service Delivery Leader, West Central Zone. This year’s 2017 STLP class is focusing on the following projects: Training Project How do we go faster and keep folks safe with new hire onboarding? Installation Project Focus efforts around improving readiness of rooms for installation at customer sites and improving "ship complete." Communication with Customer Project Improve communication from GE to our customers by being more proactive, more consistent, and more reliable in updating our customers. Cross-Training & Pre-Qualifying BMETs for Imaging Work Look at ways to do this safely, compliantly and in a much more accelerated manner than today.
